Key Technologies:

Oblique Imagery: Pictometry® oblique image libraries are a unique new imaging technique which provides multiple, geo-referenced views of each feature within an urban environment. Blom group is in the process of acquiring and building a database of over 900 European cities. The imagery will be available for licencing, streamed to third-party websites and delivered either through the internet or depending upon volume, by hard-disk.

The images are available for viewing and measurement in the leading GIS software systems through Active-X, APIs, controls for integration with customer and third-party geographic datasets, providing a rich visual information source to support analysis, reporting and decision making.

Laser-scanning (LiDAR) is an efficient technology for the acquisition of large areas of digital terrain and surface models (DTM and DSM). Digital Terrain Models (DTM's) can be generated at a high resolution with considerable detail, making the technology more cost efficient when compared with photogrammetric methods. Blom group operates both helicopter-based and fixed-wing LiDAR systems, supporting detailed corridor mapping for engineering applications and wide-area DTM's for environmental, land use and mapping activities.

Laser Bathymetry. Blom group provide survey services internationally for the coastal zone and other shallow water (<70m depth) environments using Hawk Eye II, the world's most advanced airborne LiDAR bathymetry and topography system.

Hawk Eye II is ideally suited to coastal survey work but can also perform land and deep sea surveys.

Key Products:

Blom Urbex, online software transform digital images into a virtual toolkit allowing you to locate, view and measure buildings, structures and urban landscapes.

Blom Urbex enables you to see the bigger picture. With standard aerial imagery you can only look down on a building from above. Imagine viewing that same building obliquely from either North, South, East, or West as well as from above.

Benefits:

- Easy online access to over 1000 European cities
- Buildings and objects can be studied in their real world locations and surroundings
- Instant measurement, data capture and analysis using the online tools
- Perform basic site surveys without leaving your office
- Simple data extraction and integration into your existing GIS or CAD environment
- Visualise the data to assist and improve your decision making process
- Easy to view, analyse and extract only the data you require.

Blom Urbex SDKs, Set of tools for developing new applications in the mobile environment such as Windows, Symbian, iPhone, Java, Android, etc. based on the Blom Urbex imagery system.

Pictometry E.F.S., Pictometry's Electronic Field Study (EFS) is a proprietary geospatial imagery application for use with Pictometry® data. EFS application can be used to view the imagery, make measurements, navigate around images as well as add annotation and other geographic data.

3D City Models, Blom has developed an automated production process of real textured 3D models which offers new services that can be provided with viewing and manipulation software, specifically designed to provide high performance.

Real textures are extracted from Blom oblique image libraries and are applied to the 3D polygons offering realistic views as shown in figure below.
