A lot of situations can drive to an emergency department : accidents or deseases. Anyway, doctors need to know about the medical history of the patient because these informations give the doctor the right way to provide good and rapid treatments. Sometimes, it can be vital : for example, administration of a drug to which the patient has an allergy can kill him in few seconds ! It's also very important to know about actual drug treatment to avoid negative interactions with new ones. |
